NSW Minister for Planning and Housing, Anthony Roberts, will join Dr Andrew Wilson, one of Australia’s leading housing market experts, and Bill Pickering, Mayor of Ryde, tomorrow Wednesday 26 July to launch a new peak industry body to drive major reform to tackle the housing crisis.

The Housing Supply Association (HSA) is a unique, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to connect first homebuyers and key workers (eg. police, ambulance, fire service, nurses, child care workers and teachers) with opportunities to purchase or rent affordable housing.

New properties will be allocated to those who most need it, as industry and government work together to increase and accelerate the supply of affordable housing.

The announcement will unveil the significant property discounts which could be offered to priority target groups, and will reveal the sacrifices some workers are making just to keep a job in Sydney.

Representatives from key worker associations will be attending in uniform, as well as the Local Government Association and property leaders.
